TFC Seeks Rare Road Win

With summer here, there is plenty of daily sports action and with that, a lot of opportunity for sports betting to take up.  The MLB is now in the second half of the season, and NFL preseason action is only a few weeks away, with many opportunities for sports betting online. For more help and advice on betting, see an online bookie to keep things organized. As well, look to 5 Dimes Reviews for even more information on this sporting season.

The Premiership in England is just getting underway, as are the other top leagues in Europe, while in North America, soccer is heading into the final stretch. There is plenty of Major League Soccer play to enjoy as races tighten towards a playoff rush.

One of the most maligned clubs will play a tough eastern conference foe this week, as Toronto FC has been in last place in the eastern conference all year, starting out on a horrendous pace with nine straight loses, struggling to score goals. They started to turn their season around, looking to make a run, but they dug themselves far too deep a hole and now look to be limping towards the finish.

They take to the road where they have struggled and face off against the Columbus Crew. They too have had a tough time this year, and are currently in seventh position in the east with eight wins and 30 points. Still, they have only played 22 games all season and can move up the table if they put together a string of victories.

They can start on Wednesday as they play at home, looking for their sixth home victory of the year. They have lost just twice all season at home, outscoring their opponents 13-12. Meanwhile, Toronto has not played well on the road, winning just twice, drawing just twice, and losing seven games all year, while allowing 22 goals.

Still, Toronto has much to play for looking to get out of the basement of the eastern conference, with 20 points, just three shy of ninth place New England Revolution. Toronto has not won in their last four games, and look to bounce back after a home loss to Sporting Kansas City. Columbus has not won in their last three matches, drawing their last two.

The two clubs face off much earlier in the season at the end of March, where the Columbus Crew took a match on the road 1-0, with a second half Bernardo Anor goal being the difference.

Betting lines: At home, against a very weak opponent, the Columbus Crew are heavily favoured, and rightly so. Toronto FC struggles on the road and has shown no sign of turning the corner. Columbus will play tough at home as they always do, and come out on top 1-0.
