Kansas City Looks to Stay Atop East

They can regain first place with a home victory this weekend in a venue they have lost at just twice this entire season. They have allowed just five goals in ten home games all year long, however they have had trouble scoring of late.
They have just 11 goals for at home this year, and none in their last three matches. They have scored far more on the road of late, netting six goals in their last three road matches. They will continue on at home following a scoreless draw against eastern conference rival New England.
Columbus visits looking to move closer to the top of the table, as they sit in sixth position with 25 points. They have a long way to go, however, they have played three fewer games than the leaders in the east. They have seven wins and four draws, with just two wins on the road.
They take to the road for two matches following two home games, one of which was against Kansas City, with the Crew losing 2-0. They followed that up however with a 1-0 win against third place DC United, and now look to beat up on Kansas City on the road. KC scored one goal early, and one goal late to beat Columbus at home.
Betting lines: At home, Kansas City is the clear favourite and rightly so. They are a great team at home, and Columbus has struggled on the road. What’s more, the two club played just weeks ago, with Kansas City winning easily going away. Sporting wins again, taking over first place and sending Columbus further into the bottom half of the eastern conference.
