Kansas City Looks to Stay Atop East

Kansas City continues their short road trip, having beaten the Red Bulls 2-0 in New York as they take to Montreal. The Impact are in seventh position in the east with 39 points, though they have played 30 games, two more than the team ahead of them in the standings. Though they have just 12 wins and 3 draws on the year, 10 of those wins and all of the draws have come at home, making Montreal a very difficult place to enter to and leave with three points.
Still, Sporting is coming off an impressive road win, their eighth of the year. They have just four road losses and have scored 19 goals for while allowing just 14. On the year the club has allowed the fewest goals in the entire leage at 25. Montreal, meanwhile, is one of the best scoring clubs at home, netting 31 this year.
The Impact will be returning home after two road losses, 2-1 to Columbus and 3-1 to Chicago. In their last home match, Montreal beat contender DC United 3-0.
This will be the third time these two clubs have played this season. Kansas City lost at home 2-0 earlier in the year, and then beat Montreal on the road 3-1.
Betting lines: Montreal will be the slight favourite as they are a strong home club, but Kansas City has the momentum and the experience. They just won a big match on the road, and have won at Montreal before. They win again, 2-0.
