Houston and Kansas City Battle Atop Eastern Conference

The Dynamo continue their playoff push, but to earn three points they will have to beat Kansas City on the road, where they have won just three times all year. Away from home, the Dynamo have lost seven times, and have been outscored 23-15. Kansas City, meanwhile, is one of the best clubs in the league at home, winners of eight, and losing just three times. In their 14 home matches, they have scored 17 goals while allowing just 10.
The Dynamo have lost their last two on the road, and four of six. Kansas City, meanwhile, is coming off a win against Toronto, having won four of their last win, going unbeaten in that span. The two clubs faced off in mid July, with Houston winning at home 2-1, as both clubs enjoy a clear home field advantage, but struggle more on the road. They Dynamo will hope to keep pace with Sporting, as they cannot afford to lose a match and three points, falling further behind.
Betting lines: At home, Kansas City is the favourite, and rightly so. They have staked a spot atop the conference, and at home they are one of the better teams in the league. Houston is as good as Sporting on a neutral field, but just as they won at home against Kansas City, they will be beaten on the road. Kansas City wins a low scoring match, 1-0.
