They will host the third place close from the west in Seattle. Through 22 matches, Seattle has 37 points, five back of second place Real Salt Lake, and seven back of San Jose in first place, but with a game in hand on both clubs.
The Sounders have just three wins on the road, but only two losses to go with six draws. They are winners of two straight, and have not lost a match in six straight games, and are unbeaten in their last three.
Kansas City meanwhile is coming off a road victory against New England that helped prevent a second straight loss. Kansas City has struggled to score lately, netting just three goals in their last four matches. At home, they have just one goal in their last four in Kansas City.
Betting lines: At home, Kansas City gets the slight edge, but they have been struggling. Seattle travels well and Kansas City hasn’t been able to score. Look for a tight game that ends in a scoreless draw.
